LANCIS-SOS Collaboration

Dr. Eakin serves as the liaison between the School of Sustainability at ASU  and the Laboratorio Nacional de Ciencias de la Sostenibilidad at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (LANCIS).
 
This collaboration is designed to enhance the exchange of students and faculty between the two graduate studies programs in an effort to strengthen ties between ASU and UNAM in sustainability science higher education.  The collaboration entails exchange opportunities for graduate students and faculty, as well as opportunities for joint courses and collaborative research.  Please contact Dr. Eakin (hallie.eakin@asu.edu) if you are interested in these opportunities

The collaborative agreement is the result of two successful projects designed to enhance institutional ties:

  • Managing Biodiversity under Climate Change: Enhancing Capacities in Mexico for Conservation Planning, Decision-Making and Sustainability Assessment. United States Agency for International Development/ Higher Education for Development, United States-Mexico: Training, Internships, Exchanges and Scholars Program (TIES).

  • International collaboration to advance sustainability science in the US and Mexico. National Science Foundation, Catalyzing New International Collaborations Grant.
